Transfer of Furniture

(To avoid paying the relevant customs duties on used furniture).

1- An Affidavit by the applicant testifying that he resided in Canada for more than three years and that he intends to move to Lebanon for good.

2- Lebanese ID.

3- Detailed list of the furniture to be transferred.

4- Proof of residency in Canada for more than 3 years (personal income tax return, letter of employment, etc…)

5- Self-addressed stamped, Express Post, envelope with phone number.

6- The amount of $30.00:
            In person: Cash.
            By mail: Money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon

* One additional photocopy of all of the above mentioned documents is required.

Transfer of Car

1- The car should be no more than 5 years old.

2- The car is subject to the relevant customs duties with a minimum amount of $3,333.00 US (5 millions L.L.)

3- If you have owned the car for more than one year, please provide the following documents:

- The title of ownership of the car.
- Original Invoice (Bill of Sale) showing that the car is paid in full.
- Self-addressed stamped, Express Post, envelope with phone number
- The amount of $30.00 cash.
            In person: Cash.
            By mail: Money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon

Transfer of Body

1- The death must be registered at the Embassy. (Refer to Death registration).

2- Contact a local funeral home to help provide the following documents:

- Original death certificate, issued by the Canadian government.
- Certificate for shipment of body outside the province.
- Burial permit.
- Letter of non-contagious diseases issued by an authorized health institution in the city.
- Letter of embalming.
- Letter of sealed casket. 
- Original Lebanese Passport of the deceased, with three photocopies of the first three pages.
- Lebanese ID of the deceased (Ikhraj Kayd).
- A 2 way return airway bill with account #

This formality is free of charges.
