Lunch in Honour of the Premier of Prince Edward Island
Honourable Robert Ghiz

At the invitation of the Liberal Party in Vanier - Region, the Honourable Premier Robert Ghiz, Prime Minister of Prince Edward Island, of Lebanese Origin, visited the City of Ottawa on Friday May 21st, 2010.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Lebanon Georges Abou Zeid organized a Lunch in his honour in the presence of Honorable Senator Pierre De Bané and Honourable Member of Parliament Mauril Bélanger and the representatives of the professions of physicians, university professors and businessmen.

The Honourable Prime Minister and the Honourable Member of Parliament were very interested on starting a direct flight link between Canada and Lebanon and their willingness to provide all possible assistance in this regard.

Mr. Ghiz promised to organize a trade mission from Prince Edward Island to Lebanon in the near future.
