Visit of H.E. Dr. Salim El Sayegh to Ottawa

H.E. Dr. Sélim El Sayegh, Minister of Social Affairs, visited Ottawa on June 22nd, 2010; Mr. Georges Abou-Zeid has held a reception in his honor, attended by a crowd of people from the Lebanese community, including representatives of political parties and Canadian-Lebanese associations in Ottawa.

It was said by Mr. Abou-Zeid in his welcoming speech "we are in the Lebanese Embassy at equal distance from all political parties in Ottawa and our emblem we are working for one employer called Lebanon.."

H.E. the Minister Sayegh on his part thanked Mr. Abou-Zeid and the entire team of the Embassy of Lebanon, and all those who attended the reception.

It highlighted what H.E. the Minister said "My important message for the Lebanese expatriates that the dispute and the stiffening in the views we do not want to reflect on you here, let us keep these discrepancies in Lebanon.. It's you, dear expatriates, who have build Lebanon.. You probably will carry salvation and so that Lebanon as a homeland for the Lebanese, who is no limit to their ambition and offerings.".
